The interiors of the former Austrian Länderbank in Vienna are not open to the public. Therefore, I considered it all the more of a privilege to receive permission to take photographs there in the summer of 2025. My sincere thanks go to everyone involved in this approval process.
The building in Vienna’s 1st district, Innere Stadt, was built in 1883/1884 by Otto Wagner and is currently used by the Austrian federal authorities.
The building marks the beginning of 20th-century Viennese architecture.
For the photo shoot, the central banking hall, the first and second floors, and the central staircase were freely accessible. Unfortunately, renovation work was underway at the time of the photo shoot, so not all perspectives were possible.
The photos are located under “privileged access” and, for legal reasons, are only accessible with a password.
